In 2017, under their Sustainability Committee, Sadaqat commenced the journey to achieve its’ climate goals by setting up a captive solar power plant. Escalating gas tariffs and load shedding at the factory were also addressed by the green initiative.

Sadaqat partnered with Reon for a 1 MW on-grid solar project at their facility.

The pandemic made engineering and procurement on site a huge challenge; however, the team made deliveries possible while adhering to strict Covid-19 protocols. The protocols have been outlined in the Health Safety Environmental (HSE) Policy set by Reon in accordance to the government’s Covid-19’s employee welfare policies.
