Eastern Dairies partnered with Reon for the installation of a solar plant sizing 995 kW for their facility at Raiwind. This decision came as a result of gas tariff hikes and extreme load shedding in winters. A promising return on investment and the availability of extensive land further favored the addition of renewable energy in their current energy mix.
Strict HSE measures were applied during installation and project commissioning to ensure the health and wellbeing of employees and livestock. The project approximately generates 1412 MWH of energy annually and reduces carbon emissions by 868 tonnes.
